About Omni-Games

Omni-Games started as a passion project, born from years of painstakingly populating spreadsheets with retro game data. Frustrated by fragmented, ad-riddled, and often inaccurate information scattered across the web, this site was created to bring clarity, accuracy, and consistency to gaming history.

The process begins with data cleansing—eliminating errors, duplicates, and contradictions by analysing a wide range of sources. From there, rich metadata is layered in, capturing everything from developer/publishers to release variations and physical/digital distribution formats. This isn’t a solo effort—Omni-Games is a collaborative, research-driven initiative, open to contributions from the gaming community.

Today, Omni-Games is a growing reference hub built for collectors, content creators, researchers, preservationists, and retro fans alike. Its interface is designed for both casual gamers discovering classics and die-hard Sega, SNK, or obscure Japanese PC platform veterans. Searching, filtering, and exploring retro game data should be effortless—and fun.

Omni-Games is free to use and will remain open to all. I don’t collect personal data, hide content behind paywalls, or flood your screen with popups. I believe the internet isn’t dead—it just needs to be rebuilt by people who care.

Your feedback, testing, and support are appreciated as this project continues to evolve. Thanks for being part of the effort.
